The Waterfront
Fresh Creek channels from the ocean into a beautiful pristine tidal creek that becomes the major attraction for our guests throughout their stay. Big Bamboo's 60 foot T-dock provides a playground for fun and adventure, as well as a covered sanctuary for rest and relaxation. The water-sport loading docks provide easy access for paddle boarding, kayaking, floating loungers and creek snorkeling.
Our Tiki Beach bar and kitchen built near soft sand and under swaying coconut palms, protects sun bathers from UV-Rays, while an "in-water" tiki hut creates an opportunity for intimacy with an abundance of marine life. Guests can feed our resident sting rays, snapper and pufferfish population, while they play in the sea.
No tropical paradise is complete without a selection of exotic fruits grown across the seasons. Guests at Big Bamboo can stroll through our fruit groves to discover organically raised Coconuts, Sea Grapes, Sapodillas, Carambolas, Cherries, Genips, Mangoes, Longans, Rose Apples, Jujus, Lemons, Breadfruits, Limes, Oranges, Custard Apples, Calamondins, Figs, Guavas, Pomegranates, Bananas, Dragon Fruits, Avocadoes, Hog Plums, Sour-Sops, Pigeon Plums, Mulberries, Coco Plums and Pineapples. Gather your favorite fruit and we can make home-made ice cream just for you.

The Big Bamboo experience is all about interacting with nature. The adventure begins with guests delivered to the Big Bamboo dock by Sea Plane or to the Big Bamboo gate by Taxi Shuttle.
Our exquisitely fun villa is connected to earth and sky by a cat-walk which leads to the "Chubby Mermaid", a bamboo shaded roof-top lounge. It is marvelous for private sun-bathing by day and celestial star-gazing at night.
Down the Chubby Mermaid stairs, guests are guided towards a creek-side fresh water pool for a refreshing dip, encompassed by tropical palms, solar waterfall cave and serene surroundings.
Fresh Creek Sunsets
Big Bamboo is situated on the south-west foreshore of Fresh Creek, where the sunset dances upon water with brilliant color and spectacular reflections. Every sunset delivers a magnificently unique experience.
Whether guests are having cocktails at the in-water Tiki Hut, fishing for snapper from the dock, swimming in the creek-side waterfall pool, or rocking in chairs on the villa's veranda, sun sets at Big Bamboo are extravagant sights to pause for and behold.
